Catholic Early Childhood Programs

Legion of Mary Ascies

The Legion of Mary, Binghamton Curia, will have their Ascies Ceremony on Sunday, March 25 at 2 PM at Church of the Holy Family. The host is Queen of Apostles. An invitation is extended to all auxiliaries and former active members to attend and renew their consecration to Our Lady. There will be a reception in McCabe hall following the Ascies. Ladies Guild Lancaster Bus Trip

The Ladies Guild is excited to sponsor a bus trip to Lancaster Sight & Sound Theatre to see a new show – “Jonah” – on Wednesday, May 9. The cost of the trip (bus, show and dinner) is $115. Welcoming Ministry Meeting

The Welcoming Ministry will meet on Monday, January 16, at 6:30 PM at the home of Janet Barna. This meeting will cover our plans for the new parishioner Welcome Reception coming up on February 10. Higher Ground

This group is designed to create a caring, compassionate and supportive environment for men and women who have experienced divorce or separation and seek healing. Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 6:30-8:00 PM in Room 7. The next meeting is Thursday, December 1. It seems there is an occasional need to provide a hot meal a couple times a week to a parishioner/spouse who has become incapacitated for a short term, perhaps from a fall, surgery, or during a period of hospice at home, etc. We, as a parish, could help and this would be beneficial for all. Formation for Ministry Program

Are you being called to serve the Church as a commissioned lay minister?  The Formation for Ministry program in our diocese prepares individuals to exercise their Baptismal commitment to serve as commissioned lay ministers.  The program offers courses, workshops, retreats and supervised field experience which prepare persons to serve as commissioned lay ministers in a wide variety of ministries.  Courses are six weeks long and are offered five times a year throughout the diocese.  This year the program will pilot…

McDevitt HOPE Grants 2011

Church of the Holy Family was  recently awarded a Diocesan McDevitt Grant for Youth and Family Life Activities.  This grant of $7,500 will be used for the establishment of a Catholic Athletes for Christ Chapter at Church of the Holy Family.   Catholic Athletes for Christ (C.A.C.) is an Alexandria, Virginia based organization that serves Catholic athletes in the practice of their faith and shares the Gospel in and through sports.  C.A.C. works with athletes of all levels in an…
