The Back to School Clothing Drive for Cincinnatus Rural Ministries will take place on Wednesday, August 8 from 4-7 PM and Thursday, August 9 from 9 AM to 5 PM in McCabe Hall.
The Sisters of Cincinnatus report that their supplies of Back to School clothing for kids (jeans, shirts, blouses, sweaters, jackets, sneaks, etc.) from pre-school to teen sizes is desperately low. We’re making a special appeal to every youth of the parish to dig through their closets and donate at least one or two good, clean items of clothing that less fortunate kids will be proud to wear. In addition, we are also asking all parishioners to purchase and donate clothing items and school supplies (notebooks, paper, pens, pencils, scientific calculators, scissors, etc.) for these school children. While this drive emphasizes children’s clothing, Fall clothing for other family members is also very much needed, especially for infants, toddlers and large adult sizes, along with towels and bedding supplies.
Please sort your donations into separate containers for Men, Women, Boys and Girls clothing, for school supplies and for bedding. Save winter clothing for a drive to be held later since storage space is limited.
Thank you for your continued generosity.
