Pastoral Planning: Summer/Fall 2014 Part 6

“Crossing the Bridge,” a continuation of “Seeing Natural Bridges” has asked PCA groups to embrace the concept that “activity should not be confused with meaningful action.” Thus, the PCA leadership gathered to give a specific framework to each of the six areas. They are: 1) a communication plan to keep all parishioners informed about the planning process; 2) choosing 3 specific areas for actual collaboration in the 2014-2015 academic year, one of which should relate to external evangelization; 3) discuss and provide a schedule for a new Mass schedule for the area when there are either one or two fewer full time priests serving in the PCA (the schedule is to reflect the Canonical intention of good Liturgy); 4) to outline the number and types of staff persons that will be needed in the new alignments and identify people who may be trained for service; 5) to suggest a method for enhanced collaboration among the PCA representatives of the area; and, 6) to make one or more recommendations to the Bishop about the future of their own PCA.
