Permanent Diaconate Seminar

A Permanent Deacon is ordained as a Sacramental Sign of the Church, as servant in active love and justice in society, in heralding the Word of God and in celebrating the Sacraments.

If you have any interest in learning more about the Permanent Diaconate in the Diocese of Syracuse or about the Deacon Formation Program, this Information Seminar will assist you in your discernment.

Eligibility Requirements: Male applicants must have completed the VIRTUS training through the Safe Environment Program and have discerned a call to service and have parish or agency sponsorhip. Men wishing to apply this year to enter the program beginning September 2016, together with spouse, must attend the June 7th information meeting at Immaculate Conception Parish in Greene, NY or September 20th meeting at Holy Cross Church in Dewitt, NY or November 1st meeting at Devine Mercy Parish in Central Square, NY.
