Thank you from St. Rose of Lima Church in Newtown, Connecticut

Dear Friends at Holy Family,

We are so grateful for your outpouring of love expressed by creating rosaries for all the children at St. Rose.

At the Children’s Stations of the Cross on Good Friday, we gave many children their rosary and asked them to pray the rosary between the hours of noon and three for world peace. After the stations, many people stayed in their seats and asked if we could pray the rosary together – they were so grateful for the pamphlets on ‘How to Say the Rosary’ – a good refresher for many of our parishioners.

A young girl offered to lead the rosary – her father had died tragically last Good Friday in a car accident. She told me that her family says the rosary every day. She led the rosary with conviction and passion. In fact, a gentleman stood up at the end of the rosary and complimented her in public and his gratitude to all of you – it was an awesome feeling of connecting with all of you and all of us here at St. Rose. There is not a day that goes by without someone either calling or stopping in Religious Education to say how touched they are by your compassion and love.

St. Rose School children received their rosaries on Holy Thursday – with a note to say the rosary on Good Friday. The rest of the rosaries will be handed out in three weeks at our closing Masses and prayer services.

Words cannot express how thankful to God we are for His love that was reflected through your kindness. May you be blessed abundantly!

God bless,
